New numbers have shown that the building industry has a huge impact on the environment, which contributes to more than 40% of the emission worldwide. And with ambitious goals from the Government, we have to focus on adding value during the design process within the circular economy. 

Our approach towards the design process is essential regarding the circular economy, since the selection of materials is determining the lifespan of the product. Furthermore, this is supported by the European Commission, The 7th Environmental Action Programme to 2020, where the research showed that 80 percentages of the products environmental impact is established while designing. 

The abovementioned factors have been gathered within the APTO collection, which is the outcome of a visionary dialogue where circularity within the changing working environment has been the main agenda. Due to the growing consumerism worldwide, we are forced to incorporate longevity and circularity. The collection is built upon a special-designed multi clamp, providing the opportunity of changing, modifying, and personalising the individually working environment with space optimisation in mind. This is how the size of the build easily can be minimised since the multi clamp can be relocated from one surface to another, while the remaining objects can be installed in the multi clamp, - effortlessly, silently, and steadily.  

Besides the multifunctionality of the collection, the objects are designed and produced by repurposed and/or conscious materials. The collection maintains products of environmentally-friendly bamboo to provide sustainability, durability, and versatility. Bamboo is widely perceived as an attractive alternative due to its green growth, sustainable harvesting, and wood-like properties. Furthermore, the collection contains products of felt produced by plastic bottles from the ocean containing a minimum of 70% recycled material. Meaning, the design objects have a sustainable aspect providing personality and authenticity.
